I’ve been hesitant to share this post for what reason I’m not sure. As many of you know, I’ve been on a ‘get healthier’ mission since 01/2013 and in the last 2 weeks I’ve hit a major milestone….I’ve officially lost 100 lbs. In that time, I’ve cut by body fat down an estimated 15%. My picture below shows where I started to where I am.
I would like to thank Jennifer for taking steps with me and always supporting my crazy. Kevin who pointed me in the right direction to start. Kyle, Ceto, Phil, Lindsey, and Nicole for establishing an environment where I felt that welcomed, pushed and comfortable failing. To all the members of Fire Force CrossFit Elmhurst (especially the 5AM crew) who provide countless cheers and support they provided. Thanks to Magen and Failopen for the weekly motivation. Finally, to the miscellaneous health ambassadors (if you think it’s you it probably is); we don’t always agree but you continue to have me look at things critically and adjust.
It’s been a difficult hard journey with set backs, frustrations, and several highs….and its not over! My goal is to lose an additional 35# and or total body fat less than 20% and to get strong. I hope it inspires someone else out there to continue their journey and that there are other people going through the same struggles.
Fire Force Crossfit is the best box I’ve ever gone to. Coaches are great and focus a lot on form, and everyone who goes to the classes are super friendly!
